Peso Pluma In Denver

See Peso Pluma in Denver: A Short Guide

Spread the love

It may surprise you to hear that I listen to a lot of Spanish language music. From Bomba Estereo, Ana Tijoux and more. I’ve even had the pleasure of attending a number of concerts because of a fun side-hustle in town. So when I heard that Peso Pluma was coming to Denver, I wanted to share the ins and outs of visiting Denver, what Bellco Theater is like and to go to the show. This is a quick guide to what to do when you’re in to town to see Peso Pluma in Denver.

What is Denver’s Weather Like in August

Denver has had a weirdly rainy Spring and Summer so far but I’m thinking that the weather will settle down by the beginning of August and be hot with a possibility of afternoon rain.

Quick Tip:

Plan for bad weather. Have a sweatshirt or umbrella just in case. If you’re planning to go to the mountains you definitely will need to bring layers of clothing because the weather is often different (cooler) than in Denver. Start checking the weather 10 days before arrival-just in case.

What to Bring

I’ve touched on this, but you should bring layers of clothing. Make sure to bring a light jacket or sweater just in case the weather changes. If you plan on doing any hiking or physical activities bring the right items for those activities as well. Here is what I would recommend bringing with you.

Denverites dress pretty casually during the day, but if you feel like dressing up for the concert-I absolutely would!

What to Do

One of my absolutely favorite new events in Denver is ¡Viva Streets Denver! Inspired by Bogota, Colombia’s Ciclovia event. On Sunday, August 6, 2023 3.5 miles of Broadway Street will be shut down to cars. Instead, it will be opened up for people to walk, bike, skateboard, roller skate and more-just, no cars. This will be the last ¡Viva Streets Denver! Event this summer and I hope to see you there. Here are few other events and spaces to enjoy.

  • Grab some food at La Esquina del Sabor in Aurora
    • Open on the weekends at 15200 E. Colfax Ave, Aurora, Colorado
  • Enjoy some more food at La Plaza Colorado
    • I’m not quite sure what times La Plaza is open-so fyi
  • Spend a day in Boulder

Where to Stay

Since Bellco Theater is downtown, I would stay fairly close to the theater. Here are a few suggestions below and I’ve also included a map from Booking (dot) com that you can play with to see where other hotels are located.

Downtown Denver’s 16th Street Mall is currently being renovated. There are several blocks of that specific street that are under construction. Stay west of the giant clocktower heading towards Union Station for the best experience of that street.

  • Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center
  • The Curtis
  • Limelight Hotel
  • The Maven
  • Hilton Garden Inn Union Station
  • Ember Hostel
  • Hostel Fish

Bellco Theater: What to Expect

I’m a huge fan of Bellco Theater and have really enjoyed the different events that I’ve attended there. The team that runs the venue and supporting staff are great to work with and are incredibly helpful. Bellco Theater is ADA compliant.

Here are some insider tips:

  • Avoid transferring tickets via the AXS app the day of the event if possible. Do it the day before the event. The most confusion with tickets that I’ve seen during my side-hustles at Bellco are day of transfers for some reason. People need time to make sure that they’ve received the tickets and doing it in the line is always stressful for the recipient of transferred tickets.
  • Always bring the credit card that you purchased your tickets with. The team is typically able to search for your tickets with that card if there’s an issue. But, if the expiration date has changed since your ticket purchase-that will affect the team’s ability to find your ticket.
  • Bellco Theater is located at THE BACK of the Colorado Convention Center-You won’t be able to walk through the Convent Center to get to the theater. You will have to walk outside around the theater to get there. If you’re dressing cute-bring a pair of cute foldable ballet flats so that you can better manage the walk. You’ll thank me later.
  • Bathrooms-There are 3 bathrooms but most people head towards the busiest ones. Go to the furthest one located past door #7 it is the least busy bathroom and tends to have the shortest lines.
  • Whenever possible buy tickets in the middle section of the floor section. The sections on the far left and right of the floor have seats that sometimes have slightly obstructed views.

Looking forward to seeing you at the concert. I haven’t decided which day I’m attending, either day will be great. Hope to see your there!
