7 Best Denver, Colorado Tours Focused on Food and Drink
I’m going to address the elephant in the room first. Denver has a long history of having a med/mediocre food scene and great steaks. Even though I grew up in Colorado and have spent the majority of my life in the state of Colorado-I’ve lived in other places and eaten my way around the world. I feel like I have a pretty good palate for food and have experienced a large enough variety of food cultures to say that Denver has good food. It might not ever become a food city (I’ve recorded a podcast episode about this) but you can absolutely eat well in Denver post 2026 and anyone saying you can’t is being a bit desengenuous. Or, you’re following the wrong Denver food content creators. I can’t guarantee that these food tours will get you in front of the restaurants that I’m going to-but these are the 7 best Denver, Colorado tours focused on food and drink. Leave the planning and research to someone else.

7 Best Denver, Colorado Tours Focused on Food and Drink
Planning a trip to a new city can feel a bit overwhelming, booking a tour is a great way to leave the planning and dealing with logistics with someone else. What I love about these tours is that the meeting point is pretty easy to get to, someone else deals with the driving (if driving is involved) While Denver people are very friendly, going on a tour is a great way to meet new people especially if you’re traveling solo.
Downtown Denver Food Tour
At the time I’m sharing this list, almost 2,000 people have taken this tour and the average rating has been 5 stars. Personally, I’m amazed by this! I think it speaks to the quality of the tour guides who will take you around town, their love of the city and a curiosity about the quietly building food scene here in Denver. I regularly spend time in downtown Denver working at one of the many awesome coffee shops, supporting small local businesses and watching it reemerge after going through a HUGE downtown renovation project, pandemic lockdowns and more-yes, Denver is still dealing with the long-term impacts of decisions made at that time.
Food tastings in Historic Lower Downtown
Denver has often been called a “Cowtown” and it has deserved that moniker honestly. I love downtown because of its historic brick buildings, the history of Denver being a rough and tumble western town back in the day. There are a number of amazing places to eat within the downtown corridor. Local restaurants such as: Onefold, Konjo Ethiopian, Kachina Cantina, Dragonfly Noodle, Rioja and Elway’s. While these tours do change where they go hopefully at least one of these restaurants will be included on the tour that you end up going on.
Denver Beer and Graffiti Walking Tour
I have to admit that I’m on of the Denverites who isn’t really a beer drinker. I would not be able to share where the best breweries are and what the different types of beers being served are. This is one of the tours that I refer people to because I don’t have a palate for beer but the wonderful tour guides who guide the guests on where to experience the best beer while taking in the amazing art that decorates many walls around the city of Denver.
Ultimate Denver Day Out Bus Tour Visiting Sites and Eating Sweets
It’s my opinion that there should be a tour dedicated to eating your way through the many amazing pastries in the Denver metro area. Until then, I’m recommending this tour that ends at Little Man Ice Cream Shop, a true Denver ice cream staple. This tour will take its guests out of the city and past several landmarks before spending some time at Red Rocks Amphitheatre consistently ranked the best or one of the best music venues in the world
Bike and Brew: Downtown Tour By E-Bike or Bicycle
I think that one of the best ways to experience Denver is by bike. This tour combines two iconic components to many Denverite’s life-Bikes and Beer. Imagine spending the day biking around the city, hanging out with fun people and sipping on some brews. If that sounds great to you-book this tour.
Take a Refreshing Soak at Denver Beer Spa
This is one of the most unique experiences in Denver. Do you love spas? Does beer make you happy? Then spending a day at the Denver Beer Spa is a must have experience. Denver is very much a chill city and embracing relaxation is a part of our lived experience whenever possible. Going to the hot springs, roaming around the mountains or sitting on a patio on a beautiful day. If you don’t have a lot of time to explore but would like to relax while enjoying a beer-this is
Denver Cocktails Tour
Several of Denver’s bars have been given accolades for their wine and spirits programs. This shouldn’t be a surprise to many because Denverites love their vices and cocktails absolutely land on that list. While I love going out for a nice happy hour, I’ve gotten so busy that I plan on taking this tour so that I can experience all of the new places in town. If I’m on the tour with you-make sure to say “hi!”
Where to Stay While in Denver, Colorado
I have a list of hotels and hostels that I think are perfectly situated in town, they are close to public transit and are within walking distance or a short-ride to Union Station (the main Denver transit hub)
