Ultimate Guide to Seeing Zach Bryan in Denver
If you’re reading this post you probably already have your ticket to see Zach Bryan in Denver. The concert sold out in September which is so wild to me! If you don’t live in town, you’re probably wondering where to go and what to do. Denver is a fantastic town for country music and I think you’re going to have an incredible time while you’re here. You’re so lucky to be seeing Zach Bryan in Denver-it’s going to be a party! Here’s what you need to help you plan for your time in town.
As a person who was raised here and have traveled to 45 states-I do think you have to approach Denver a little differently than other towns. My advice is you “Experience Denver vs. Philly” I recorded a short-podcast episode about that.

Get Your Ticket (Or, Sell It)
Hopefully you already have your ticket. Even though the concert sold out 8 months earlier you definitely will have an opportunity to pick up some tickets. People’s plans change and things come up. I recommend checking out Vivid Seats to purchase or sell your tickets.
- Important tip for sellers or buyers: Try to complete this transaction a week before the concert.
- Important tip for buyers: Watch the videos on the Vivid Seats website to make sure you follow the correct steps to retrieve your ticket.
- CAUTION: DO NOT take a photo of your ticket’s QR code. It won’t work. Again, follow the Vivid Seats instructions.
Book Your Flight to Denver
You’ll be flying into Denver International Airport which is apparently the third busiest airport in the world! I’ve flown out of Denver airports since I was a kid and I’ve developed some best practices that help keep flying in and out of town as painless as possible.
Here are some tips:
- Don’t fly into town the day of the concert-Murphy’s Law will kick in and you will have a flight delay or some weird issue and end up arriving late. Instead, if at all possible, arrive at least a day earlier.
- Right now the airport is being remodeled-There will be construction in some parts of the building. Painful, but I can say that I love what I’ve seen so far as the completed sections are put into use.
- Take the train from the airport to downtown Denver’s Union Station (the heart of Denver) it costs $10.50 and then you can take the free mall shuttle or a quick Lyft/Uber ride to one of the hotels that I’m going to suggest staying at. There is security on the train and runs about every 15 minutes.
- When you’re flying out of Denver-travel by train from Union Station and leave a little earlier than you originally planned. Check airport alerts so that you know what to expect regarding the security lines.
Where to Stay in Denver: Time to Book Your Room
Empower Field is basically on the edge of downtown Denver. Here are a few hotels located near and around downtown that would be good places to stay during your time in Denver.
How to Get Around Denver
If you’re sticking to Downtown Denver, you won’t need to rent a car and could instead walk around, use a Lyft or Uber or public transit. In fact, you can take the train from Denver International Airport directly to downtown Denver’s Union Station (the last stop) and easily make your way to hotels in Denver’s Downtown area. I’m not sure if the scooters will be out at that time, I think that they will be. One thing about the scooters-they are not supposed to be ridden on sidewalks.
I’m not a fan of the scooters.
We also have the Bustang system that expands transit access throughout the mountains and other parts of the state. If you’re traveling with a larger group then, it’s likely that you’ll need to rent a car. null
What is Denver’s Weather Like in June
Denver has wonderful weather during the summer months. But, I do want to bring up the fact that for the past couple of years June has been a little cooler than usual. It was a little cloudier and rainier than what we’re used to here in Denver. When you’re planning your outfit-I would keep that in mind.

Outfit Suggestions
- Short White Cowgirl Boots (more comfortable than the taller ones for a concert)
- Clear Bag with a cute strap
- Empower Field at Mile High has a clear bag policy
- Poncho (throw it in your clear bag)
What to Do in Denver
Zach Bryan has fantastic timing! There’s so much to do in Denver while you’re visiting in June and I though it would be helpful to share some of the events that you could enjoy while in town.
Book a Fun Tour
Sometimes it’s nice to let someone else do the driving and plan all of the logistics. I’ve included a few fun tours that would be a great addition to your Denver visit.
- Cannabis Tour (for those who indulge)
More Things to Do In Denver
Here are some additional activities to add to your itinerary.
- Meow Wolf-I had no idea that people out East and in the South are completely unfamiliar with this amazing experience. There are 4 Meow Wolf locations in the West and the largest one is here in Denver. It’s an immersive, interactive art experience. It’s a lot of fun and I’ve seen both adults and children absolutely love it. I went with my mom for context. I do think that it’s best suited for anyone over the age of 8 years old. It may be too much for kids younger than that.
- Check Out Dairy Block-Enjoy some good food and any events that are hosted the week that you’re there. Dairy Block is beautifully redeveloped mixed use space two blocks from Union Station and two blocks from Coors Field.
- Enjoy some baseball! The Colorado Rockies home opener at Coors Field is the day after the concert. They will be competing against the Tampa Bay Rays. Coors Field is a fantastic venue and a great place to enjoy baseball. Get your tickets here.

Where to Eat in Denver
There’s a ton of great food in town and even though Denver isn’t known as a food city-you will be able to eat well while you’re here. You could also check out the Michelin rated restaurants and Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants recently award to Denver area restaurants. I’ve shared some additional restaurant suggestions to get you started.
- Denver Biscuit CO
- Stanley Marketplace is a cool venue too. Lots of different restaurant concepts and some shopping as well.
- Machete Tequila and Tacos-Union Station or Cherry Creek locations
- Meta Burger
- Vegan (Edgewater Public Market)
Food Halls to Visit
Food halls are very popular in town. Eat at a food hall is great way to keep a group of people happy because they can pick what they’d like to eat from a variety of different local food concepts. Local food halls are a great way to enjoy local food concepts and they very rarely would have a national food chain concept inside.
- Coark Collective-Korean Food Hall!!!
- Milk Market-Visit the Dairy Block where it’s located
- Milepost Zero-Visit McGregor Square (next to the Dairy Block)
- Avanti F & B (fantastic view of downtown Denver)
- The Grange Food Hall-Has one of the best views of the entire Front Range and the Mountains (Greenwood Village area)
- Zeppelin Station–One of my favorite food halls in Denver
- Edgewater Public Market–I love walking around Sloans Lake which is across the street from the Market.
- Stanley Market Place-Check out the Spanish style churria-delicious!
- Denver Central Market–Located in the RINO/Five Points area and a cool area to explore with tons of murals, breweries and restaurants.
What is Empower Field at Mile High Like?
It’s a beautiful venue and it has recently undergone a $100 million dollar upgrade and renovation process. I’ve attended events ranging from concerts to football games and it’s a great venue. It can be a little steep-so for people who are afraid of heights, you’ve been warned.
Getting there
Make sure to go to where the light rail trains depart which is the equivalent of two blocks directly behind Union Station. The light rail trains are painted white-if you’re not sure ask for assistance inside Union Station. You must purchase a ticket before boarding the train and there are kiosks located by the train that take cash or card. You can also download the RTD Denver app and pay for your ticket that way.
- You’ll exit the train at the Empower Field station and then you’ll have about a 5 minute walk to the venue. There will be TONS of people walking with you. Make sure to double-check train departure and return times before heading to the concert.
- Lyft or Uber-they do have a drop off and pick up point at the venue. Make sure to pay attention to where that is.
- Parking-Check the Empower Field at Mile High facility details on what to expect when parking at the Stadium.
Some additional details
- You will go through a security check point.
- There’s food and drink inside the venue if you get hungry from all that dancing.
- Recommended: Eat a great meal at a nice restaurant before arrival and then snack at the venue.
- Foldable ballet slippers for when your feet start hurting
