10 Best Denver Hotels with EV Chargers
It is a balmy 80 degrees today in Denver as I work on this post. There is smoke in the air from forest fires happening in neighboring states. It’s likely that if you landed on this post you’re either an electric vehicle enthusiast, care about the environment or like to embrace different modes of transportation. And you’re probably planning to visit Denver for a few days. Denver and the state of Colorado is embracing and encouraging electric vehicle use such as bikes and cars through rebate programs. While you’re in town you’ll find that there are Level 1-Level 3 chargers around town. It may be easier to book your stay in a hotel that already has EV chargers or is within a few blocks from an EV charging station. With that in mind, here are the 10 Best Denver hotels with EV chargers.

Book a Tour While in Denver
Don’t forget to book a fun tour while you’re in town. Yes, you could drive around the state but if you don’t feel like figuring out where all the EV chargers are around the state-booking a tour is a great solution to how to explore cool places around the state. I’ve shared a couple of ideas below.
The 10 Best Denver Hotels with EV Chargers
For this post I thought it would be helpful to focus on the downtown Denver business district hotels. There are other areas that have great hotels and EV accessibility such as the Cherry Creek North Shopping District. If you’re looking to stay close to downtown, head to Meow Wolf or watch a game, hotels located in downtown are a better fit for using an electric vehicle. You can also hop on a bus to visit the mountains, go to Boulder or take the train from Denver International Airport to Union Station.

Before You Book Your Hotel
Do your due diligence. Downtown does have a large concentration of chargers available for use. There are a few things to do before you complete your hotel booking.
- Call the hotel and double-check to see if their EV chargers are running.
- Ask if the valet service can accommodate charging requests-There might not be an EV charger in the parking structure, but the Valets may have a designated place to charge guests’ cars.
- Know what network your car needs-There are several EV charging networks and while you may be able to use all of them, you may be charged a fee to use a network that you’re not a part of.
- Sign up for the PlugShare App-This is an incredibly helpful map of chargers and the types of chargers located around Denver and the United States.
- What are the logistics of your trip? Do you plan on driving in the mountains? Skiing or using additional modes of transportation. These choices should impact the type of car you decide to rent while you’re here.
The 10 Best Denver Hotels with EV Chargers
I shared the best hotels located in the immediate downtown Denver area. It’s important to point out that there are other areas in town that you may prefer to stay in and to double-check EV charger coverage with the Plug-In app. Before saying “yes” to renting an EV for your Denver vacation also check out whether or not you can drive your EV to Colorado ski resorts. Ladies, I would also recommend reading 5 Things Ladies Taking a Colorado Road Trip with an EV Need to Know. I love the investment in EV infrastructure that the state of Colorado is focusing on right now. However, there’s always room for improvement and things to consider when using an EV while you’re in town.
