Denver Life: Hanging Out With the Denver Bloggers’ Club

Spread the love

One of the reasons why I decided to share my Colorado experience via this blog was to connect people with the different communities in the state. It shouldn’t surprise you that I’m an active member of the Denver Bloggers’Club, a community created by Jenny Finke author of the blog Good for You Gluten Free. And, last week we enjoyed another amazing event created to support local bloggers.

Denver Bloggers’ Club

For those of you who wonder why would bloggers need to be a part of community? Well, there are a number of reasons why. Blogging, for many, is a very solitary affair. You created a blog post that you hope will connect with readers and then…crickets. Or, if you’re lucky, your mom will let you know that she checked out your website and she found a spelling error.

The Denver Bloggers’ Club is a warm community of men and women connecting over a common interest. I love it. Different topics are covered during each meetup ranging from:

  • Marketing

  • Growing page views

  • SEO

As well as other topics that bloggers need to know about. And, one of the coolest things that Jenny does is work with local sponsors so that members enjoy an incredible experience.

Safeway

About a month or so ago, we had the opportunity to meet with the local team at Safeway. While Safeway is a national corporation, regions tend to be managed locally. And, there is a focus on supporting local farms, and food producers.

Safeway has also rolled out the Drive Up and Go Service that I love.

  • You order the groceries online

  • Set up the pick up time

  • Park in the appropriately numbered parking space

  • One of the grocers will come out with your groceries

Then, you’re done! I was incredibly impressed by the local team and they were so gracious and welcoming. I’ve always had an incredible experience shopping at Safeway. And, I always find myself chit chatting with the different people who work there. Many of the people who work at the specific stores that I shop at have worked there for years.

Uncorked Kitchen

Was a wonderful treat. If you’ve never heard of it-you need to schedule your next friends gathering at Uncorked Kitchen. Participants learn how to cook different dishes, there are monthly wine tastings, and even knife handling skills. There is a gorgeous patio facing the mountains and a bar. The group members had the opportunity to cook a delicious vegetarian meal that had a wonderful mango sorbet for desert.
